The development of Woodhill College started with the acquisition of the 14 ha property from the developers of Woodhill estate in 1998. In March 1999 we announced the formal launch of Woodhill College at a function that was held at the Woodhill Golf Club. The college began with 128 pupils, whose parents were referred to as the ''trailblazers''.
Building works started in 2000, which included the administration centre, the foundation section, amphitheatre and student lounge (which for a long period was the hall) and general block A (library, computer centre, music room and laboratory). Buildings completed in Phase 1 totalled approximately 1500m2. When the doors opened in late January 2001, there were 236 pupils enrolled from grade 000 to grade 9, with a staff complement of 33.
Today the constructed buildings are in excess of 12 500 m2, with a student body of 1200 and a staff complement of 136 permanent staff,an external coaching team of about 43 coaches and a cultural offerings/academies provided by a further 32 service providers. Functions such as security and garden/field maintenance are contracted out to external service providers.
2011 marked the 10 year anniversary of Woodhill College.
Woodhill College has been and always will remain innovative and progressive in its approach to offer quality education.
